5 SpeedThe KX250F delivers genuinely stronger power across the entire rev range, thanks to dual fuel injectors positioned to optimise both low- and high-rpm delivery. Kawasaki's traction control and launch control bring race-day electronics to a full-size motocross machine, while adjustable 49mm forks and a new Uni-Trak rear shock mean the chassis is every bit as serious as the engine. This is a genuine full-size race bike, not a stepping-stone model.

The 2027 KX250F engine maintains its strong performance features like finger-follower valve actuation and optimised intake/exhaust layout. Enhanced output, improved throttle response, and efficient power transfer contribute to better race-ready performance on the track.

The KX250F motocrosser and KX250FX cross-country racer have an updated chassis for enhanced stability and handling. Key improvements include a revised suspension for better grip on challenging terrains and a lighter, more compact silencer in non-North American models, enhancing mass centralisation and power use.

Race-grade traction control and a dedicated launch control mode bring genuine electronic rider aids to the KX250F, useful both on the start line and through the moto.

The KX250F motocrosser emphasises a fast engine character with improved combustion efficiency and peak power. An extended exhaust pipe and enhanced silencer boost low-end torque, while updated FI settings improve power delivery throughout the rpm range.

The hydraulic clutch provides a more direct feel and lighter lever action than a conventional clutch. With 15% increased spring load for 2027, it reduces slip, allowing the engine's stronger output to transfer more directly to the rear wheel, resulting in a more powerful, forward-driving sensation.

A single-shaft primary engine balancer contributes to smoother power delivery and reduced vibration, which improves control, especially when exiting slower-speed corners.

Being able to restart an engine quickly during a race can mean the difference between keeping your lead and having to fight your way back through the pack. An electric start makes restarting the engine as easy as pushing a button.

The frame delivers both light, nimble handling and a composed character. Its optimised rigidity balance offers the front-end feel that helps riders when cornering across a wide range of conditions.

A new short-type silencer is featured on the KX250F. The new unit is 50 mm shorter and 230 g lighter, contributing to mass centralisation and a lighter, more responsive handling character.

The high-performance Showa Ø 49 mm inverted coil-spring fork and New Uni Trak rear suspension provide adjustable race-ready performance. Revised settings enhance ground-holding and feedback, boosting confidence on tough trails.

Medium-compound ODI Lock-On Grips offer an excellent grip feel, while their screw-type fastening system greatly facilitates the task of swapping grips.

The left side cover can be removed without tools, facilitating access to the air filter element. The element is now secured with quick-release hooks (previously a wing bolt), which makes changing the air filter a much simpler task—something that enduro or cross-country racers will especially appreciate.

The KX250F features updated front-end styling that enhances its sleek design. The compact front number plate and rerouted brake hose improve cleanliness, while a 30 mm shorter front fender with a steeper slant aids mass centralisation. The Aggressive Green colour reflects Kawasaki’s racing image and functional beauty.
